Street closure ongoing on 15th Avenue for Capitol Campus construction in Olympia

A street closure on 15th Avenue SW between Columbia Street SW and Water Street SW in Olympia which started Monday, May 6 is expected to last until June 10.

This roadwork is part of the second phase to facilitate street improvements associated with the new structure under construction on the Capitol Campus.

Residents in the area who have properties that access the alley through this section of 15th Avenue SW will still have access via 17th Avenue SW.

Waste and recycling collection services will remain unaffected, as arrangements have been made for truck access.

Detour routes have been outlined to guide commuters through alternate pathways.

The City of Olympia urges residents and commuters to exercise caution when in the area and to adhere to all traffic control signs.
