As a special educator for 25 years, I can tell you I couldn’t have done my job without my paraeducators. Studies show the greatest factor in childrens’ learning is the quality of the people who work with them, i.e., teachers and paraeducators. It is shameful how little we value our children and the people who we entrust them to. I hope others write the District and tell them to find something else to cut in the budget so we can pay the people who care for them a good living wage.
