A man with over 17 different domestic violence and assault cases in multiple jurisdictions was held by the Olympia Municipal Court on $15,000 bond on Wed., June 16.

Russell Lee Denham, Jr., 36, was brought before the court system for domestic violence assault from a case in April 27, 2021. He also had a June 10, 2021 theft charge and another Nov. 7, 2020 domestic violence assault charge pending and was out of custody on a $50,000 bond.

Each of Denham’s Olympia cases had different victims.

Denham is also shown to have been arrested in Olympia three times on Wed., June 16 -- the same day as the hearing.

Since 2003, Denham has been a part of the Thurston District court system 17 times, with multiple domestic violence cases either pending, dismissed or adjudicated.

Olympia Municipal Court Judge Scott Ahlf set Denham’s bail at $15,000 total, with each domestic violence assault charges at $7,500 bond each. The judge released Denham on the theft charge.  A recording of Denham's hearing today is posted below this article.

Denham has declared that he is unemployed and unable to meet the bond requirement to be released.

Denham’s next hearing in Olympia Municipal Court will be June 21, 2021 at 10:30 a.m.
