City of Olympia opens registration for Olympia Arts Month

Registration is now open for Olympia Arts Month.

Businesses and organizations looking to feature an artist, performance or creative activity in their space can sign up during March for activities happening in the month of April, reads a City of Olympia press release.

The city announced today a new registration system and will be unveiling a new event website for April 2021 to help better showcase all the creative happenings throughout the community. The new system includes:

  • Ways to better tell your story - Registered participants now have listing pages with the option of including photos & descriptions
  • Added flexibility - Registered participants have the flexibility to add & edit their listing pages as needed.*
  • Registration is Pay What You Can - As a temporary accommodation, registration fees are being offered at a discount from the standard rates ($59-$259). For spring 2021 registration fees are Pay What You Can starting at $5. All registration fees go to supporting Arts Walk including providing for event promotion, programming, and infrastructure support.

The Olympia Arts Month will span the month of April with virtual happenings and the added option of limited in-person activities and performances that keep with current health guidelines. According to the press release, city staff are working closely with county health officials and are still holding off on any large gatherings and street closures.
