Civics 101: State Government

Using materials from Teach with TVW and the Washington State Legislature, this interactive workshop will explore:

-the organization of the Washington State government;
-the lawmaking process in Washington state (e.g. How a Bill Becomes a Law);
-and strategies for participating and tracking the legislative process at the state level.

Every participant will receive a copy of the Washington State Legislature’s Guide to Lawmaking, a “Guide to Effective Participation,” and a “Legislative Tracker.”
