Fire Destroys Much of Olympia's Quality Inn

Exactly 53 weeks after an accidental fire destroyed the south building at Olympia's Quality Inn, another fire took the north building over the weekend. 

Firefighters struggled to save the north building at 1211 Quince Street on May 22, 2020.  

The previous fire was determined to have been started by a still-burning cigarette butt that was flung casually into the shrubbery behind the building.  

As of Sun., May 30 Olympia fire officials have not announced anything about the cause of the second fire.
