Habitat for Humanity to give update on the 3900 Boulevard Road project

Posted

South Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity (Habitat) and its architect, Artisans Group, will host a meeting on September 14, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., to update the public on plans for the 10-acre 3900 Boulevard Road housing project.

The meeting will be held at the Olympia Regional Learning Academy’s (ORLA) Learning Center at 2400 15th Ave SE and will discuss Habitat’s plans to build 100 to 130 housing units.

Habitat plans to build cottages for seniors, as well as family townhouses, on the site.

“This meeting will provide an introduction to the project and an opportunity for the public to ask questions,” said Olympia in its update. “Habitat will discuss the long-term vision for this project site, background about Habitat homeownership, and the types of housing and environments they aim to provide in partnership with individuals and families.”

Artisans Group Architecture and Planning will discuss initial plans and design concepts during the meeting and present a project timeline.

The land is owned by the City of Olympia, which is a partner in the project. City staff will also be present to talk about how the housing project fits into the Olympia Housing Action Plan.

Questions about the event can be addressed to Olympia Economic Development Director Mike Reid at 360-753-8591 or at boulevard@ci.olympia.wa.us.
