North Thurston Rams batter Peninsula High Seahawks, 14-13

North Thurston High School Rams swooped the Peninsula High School who edged out a win during their softball game, highlighting the Seahawks’ Seniors’ Night on Wednesday, May 8.

In the first two innings, the Rams were up seven to four, but by the 4th inning, the Sea Hawks tied the game with North Thurston recovering the lead at eight to seven. 

In the 5th inning Peninsula caught up again, with the crowd realizing with was going to be a close game.

The Sea Hawks had 13 and a five-run lead, but the Rams had a comeback at the 2nd half of the 5th inning with 5 runs, tying the game again.

In the end, Ram Senior Kat Hernandez saved the day by bringing a player home in the last inning, ending the game 14 to 13.

Seniors Night

The Rams honored five Seniors, Katrina Hernandez, Ally Andrews, Sarah Towne, Rebecca Howell, and Olivia Rodriguez, with Hernandez, Towne, and Howell playing in the game.

The Rams honored its seniors with a table of gifts, individual banners for each player, flowers, balloons, and cupcakes.
