Intercity Transit will close the northbound lane of the I-5 on-ramp at Martin Way, near College Street, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to hold tree-felling operations tomorrow, March 15.

“The temporary closure is necessary to keep everyone safe during tree felling work near the on-ramp,” WSDOT explained in a press statement.

WSDOT added that Intercity Transit’s Northbound Olympia Express (Route 620) may experience delays from the buses being rerouted due to the ramp closure. Riders can visit Intercity’s site for more information.

The state agency also advised that Intercity is making improvements at Martin Way Park & Ride for improved bus access and faster service for Olympia Express riders. The construction is expected to last through mid-summer.

"Work onsite will temporarily reduce parking capacity at the park and ride,” warned WSDOT.

CORRECTION:  A previous version of this story attributed the closure to the Washington State Department of Transportation. We regret our error.
