Olympia calls for COVID art

Olympia is looking for artwork on the pandemic

Posted

A statement from Olympia says it is seeking proposals for a temporary exhibit at city hall that “provide community response or reflection to the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Open to individual artists, teams, or “an artist acting as a curator to collect a body of work,” their artwork will be featured in a six-month exhibit beginning in January of next year, with the artists or teams awarded $500 for their work.

A second call will also take place beginning in July next year on a similar theme.

Interested participants can call Olympia Parks, Arts & Recreation Arts Program Manager Stephanie Johnson at 360-709-2678 or sjohnson@ci.olympia.wa.us.
