Olympia Dragon Boat Festival draws big crowd at Port Plaza

Teams of paddlers participated in a lively display of racing at the Olympia Dragon Boat Festival 2025 at Olympia Port Plaza on Saturday, July 12.

The event, which drew hundreds of people to Port Plaza on a warm and sunny day, was hosted by the Olympia Dragon Boat Club. 

The teams of paddlers squared off in a number of races, starting at 8:30 a.m.

The fastest time posted in the final round occurred in the Mixed A Final, when Catch-22 Hurricane covered the 250-meter course off Port Plaza in 1:01.75.

The fastest time posted in the final round for women occurred in the Women A Final, when Catch-22 Tsunami covered the 250-meter course in a time of 1:11:12.
