A Lacey man located his stolen motorcycle nearly a month after it had been taken when he walked through the parking lot of the Lacey Home Depot on May 27, 2021.

Lacey police arrested Sawyer Barlow, 25, of Olympia, in connection with the theft.  The police say Barlow told them that he purchased the 2020 KTM 390 “Duke” model motorcycle behind the Lacey Grocery Outlet earlier in May for $1,500 plus his Honda 250 quad from "a guy named Tony.”

No other information was available from Barlow about “Tony.”

The motorcycle still had the owner’s original license plates on the vehicle.

The motorcycle’s owner stated that the motorcycle was worth more than $7,000 and had been stolen on April 30, 2021 in the parking lot of The Marq on Martin apartments at 8515 Litt Dr SE in Lacey.

Barlow showed that the motorcycle’s ignition had been punctured and that he utilized a pen knife tool in order to start it.

Barlow as arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and booked into  the Thurston County Jail.

A search of Barlow’s backpack during the arrest recovered 8.9 ounces of a crystalized substance police believe to be methamphetamine and a clear pipe in a black case.
