Police seeking stolen 2019 silver pick-up truck used in burglaries

Lacey Police Department is seeking a silver pick-up truck that was stolen and used in three burglaries.

Coastal Farm and Home Supply reported that two individuals used a silver 2019 Ford Ranger to ram into the back of their property in an attempt to gain entry, Lacey police said on social media.

As police arrived at the scene, they spotted a vehicle matching the truck’s description leaving the property without any lights on.

Lacey officers initially pursued the vehicle when it entered I-5 north and attempted a traffic stop, but terminated the chase due to state law when the truck accelerated to a high speed and began moving erratically. Due to state law the officers had to stop pursuit at that point.

A Thurston County Sheriff’s deputy later saw the vehicle moving at a high speed on Old Pacific Highway toward Pierce County. The deputy did not attempt a stop.

Authorities later learned that the vehicle was stolen and used in two other burglaries in Lakewood on the same night.

Lacey police asked those with information about the vehicle to contact 911 or CrimeStoppers at 800-222-TIPS and reference case number 2023-00743.

The camera still is too low-rez to make out the plate number. It might not matter even if one could read it if it turns out the plate is stolen as well.
