Roadwork to impact traffic along Linwood Avenue in Tumwater

A pavement marking and striping project is expected to impact travel along a stretch of Linwood Avenue SW in Tumwater in the days ahead.

Traffic lanes will be reduced on Linwood Avenue SW, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, May 2 and Monday, May 5, "to allow the contractor to complete pavement marking and striping," the City of Tumwater said in a construction notice and traffic alert.

"The active work zone extends along Linwood (Avenue) SW between Susitna (Lane) and 2nd (Avenue). Traffic control will be in place with alternating single lane closures to keep traffic moving. Motorists should plan for delays or take alternate routes."

All scheduled road construction projects are subject to change due to weather, equipment, and project delays. The public can call 360- 252-5408 with questions or concerns.
