Thurston County Auditor's Office to hold walk-in Passport Fair on May 3

Thurston County announced in a news release that the Auditor's Office has scheduled a Passport Fair on Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Thurston County Atrium Building.  

“As the only provider of full-time passport services in the county, the Auditor's Office is dedicated to ensuring accessible passport services for community members,” the news release stated. 

Passport services will be available to first-time applicants and owners of passports that expired more than five years ago. 

There is no reservation required, as the services are available on a walk-in basis only.  

Photo services will also be available to anyone who needs a new passport photo.  

“Thurston County staff are trained to ensure that photos meet the strict requirements set by the State Department for passport submissions, whether for renewals or new applications,” the new release stated.

All passengers taking domestic flights are required to have a passport or an enhanced driver's license to fly after May 7, 2025.  

“Obtaining a passport now will ensure smooth travel transitions in the future,” the auditor's website. 

Interested individuals are required to bring evidence of citizenship, a completed application, a passport fee and checkbook.
