An Olympia woman was allegedly pushed out of her wheelchair and robbed of cash and prescription medications at knife-point by an associate of her deceased son last Sunday.

Mark Dorge, 31, allegedly came to the victim’s residence on Sun., Aug. 29, at about 2:30 p.m. asking for a drink of water. After being invited inside, he allegedly then attempted to rob items from her purse while she went to the kitchen.

When the victim told Dorge to stop, he displayed a knife, pushed her out of her wheelchair, then stole three bottles, including a bottle of OxyCodone, from her chairside table, according to a report from the Olympia Police Department. Dorge allegedly also stole cash from her purse.

Multiple officers conducted an extensive search of “The Jungle,”  a transient encampment near the 3100 block of Martin Way E that Dorge has been known to frequent, according to the police report.

Dorge was located at the 3500 block of Pacific Ave SE, carrying a bag of Epsom salts with water in it.  Dorge denied that he was at the victim’s apartment.

Dorge was booked into the Thurston Jail for first-degree felony robbery.
