Golf event to bring out community

Posted

TUMWATER –– As the community begins to open up after months of a coronavirus-induced shutdown, the Tumwater Valley Golf Club is one of the first local businesses to celebrate the reopening with ”Rock the Range,” a weekly event scheduled for Friday nights starting June 19.

This all-ages party will allow members of the community to enjoy the putting course, music and food (sold by River’s Edge Restaurant). Tee times are every five minutes. The event’s hosts recommend partygoers wear tennis shoes, as heels and cleats are not allowed on the putting green.

The Tumwater Valley Golf Club released a flyer this week advertising the event, stipulating the course is abiding by all COVID-19 restrictions to keep guests and visitors safe. The club is abiding by all state and city measures, including social distancing. Hand washing and sanitizing stations will be available for visitors and staff will sanitize all equipment.

The weekly event runs from 7-10 p.m. starting June 19, and admission costs $10 a person. Equipment will be provided for each guest.

The Tumwater Valley Golf Club is located at 4611 Tumwater Valley Dr. SE, Tumwater, Wash. 98501.
