KGY Media Group is hosting studio-building tours and history talks this spring and the public is invited to explore this historic radio station and one of Olympia’s iconic mid-century modern waterfront buildings on Saturday, May 11 and June 8.
KGY Media Group is moving its radio operation to a new facility this year and the KGY building is currently at risk of being demolished, so come tour this unique Olympia landmark while it still stands.
The next tour is scheduled for Saturday, May 11. Doors open at 11 a.m. and the History Talk Program and Tour will begin at 11:30 a.m.
Light refreshments including coffee and cookies will be provided. Guests will enjoy a brief presentation about KGY’s 1960 building and a guided
tour, including a showcase of historical artifacts. KGY’s Morning Host, Kevin Huffer and General Manager, Nick Kerry will host the event.
Additional time for questions (Q&A) will be provided and guests may continue to explore KGY’s building at their leisure until 1 p.m.
