We'd like to chime in about traveling with a cat!

We moved here a few months ago and drove 7 hours. The next day we drove another 7 hours and we arrived in Olympia.

We bought a large, open air dog cage for kitty and separated it into a bathroom , with a diving wall and door , and another area for sleeping and eating..

Kitty cried a little but soon got used to the motion of the car and slept most of the way.

We had a harness and lease on her the whole time in case she might make a run for it when we opened the door so that we could grab the leash.( she didn't do that but we wanted to be safe.)

She didn't mind it.

She loved when we made frequent stops at rest areas so she could stretch her kitty legs and smell the air.

People were very friendly and wanted to pet her and coo over her. She was a star!! ha ha

We stayed overnight in Ashland and she was in heaven. We had a huge king bed with a cloud like comforter. She stayed on on the bed the whole time and didn't want to leave!

The whole trip went much smoother than we anticipated.
