Thank you so much for writing this! Brought back memories of when I moved here and noticed that the jays were different here than the east coast. People were calling them Blue Jays but they weren't. I looked them up and began telling people that they were Stellar's Jays in an educational way, not to demean anyone.
Thank you also for educating me on the how to tell difference between crows and ravens from a distance. I know that we have crows that come to my yard on a regular basis to scoop up some of the walnuts I throw out to my squirrels. They got the routing! And for that matter, so does one or 2 Stellar's!
I have never seen a scrub jay but looking forward to it!
