We had a very similar experience recently with my husband. Sent to St. Peters from the Dr.s office for a cardiac issue - 8 hours later, never admitted or seen by a cardiologist, they said to call his Cardiologist in the morning. we were offered an appointment 2 months from that date. Then he had another episode, so I drove him to Madigan (he's a retired vet). Within 15 minutes, he was not only in a room, but had an IV, blood drawn and the paddle placed, just in case - and he had already seen three doctors!!! We were done and on our way home having seen the cardiac team, within three hours. We were told to give Virginia Mason a try in Federal Way - we were seen in two weeks with all the tests you can possibly imagine and a diagnosis to boot! We NEVER AGAIN use the hospitals in Olympia and wouldn't advise anyone else to either! Their priority is homeless people having drug issues brought on by self - not paying customers who have actual medical emergencies out of their control!
