The F&W department serves as a tax payer supported extermination service to a handful of ranchers (and loggers).

Ranchers pay virtually nothing to graze their cattle on BLM/ public owned lands or Forest Service land.

The average fee for a 'cow/calf' unit is less than $2.00 a year. For that little bit of money, they are allowed to graze far more cattle on land than can be sustained. They sneer at environmentalists who tell them they're overgrazing it. So that range is destroyed, and the rancher puts his cattle further and further out. The rancher doesn't want mustangs, or elk, or anything eating """HIS""" grazing. He wants to let his cattle roam free on public land, and when a wolf kills one, he screams. When us '''aloof west side liberals" for calling him to account. Nothing says 'entitled welfare ranchers' as loudly as their refusal to compromise.

If you want to keep your cattle alive and unharmed, do it the old fashioned way...a range riding cowboy, sleeping rough and keeping an eye on his cattle.

Not sitting in front of his fireplace with a rifle and a beer.

I am NOT a west side liberal, thank you very much.
