I don't know. If he's mentally ill he took a bad deal but probably didn't have anything but a public pretender at best to explain he can't be considered guilty if he doesn't understand why or what he is doing. What happens when he doesn't have the money to pay for this program? Is he then in default and back at square one? Too many questions unanswered for this to sound anything like a good deal. If by society you only mean elitists and yuppy types I guess it might be. For those of us who care about human rights, other people as much as ourselves, . ...I'm just not so sure
