Slavery was wrong. It began with a man, Anthony Johnson a former indentured servant himself. He went to court for the right to own a man. Johnson was black.
Johnson originally bought black slaves for himself as he planned with the African ships. First, only blacks bought slaves. Then native Americans and then whites.
It took the north 10 years to make slavery illegal.
When the slaves were freed, thousands of black families owned at least one slave. The natives owned tens of thousands of slaves.
Obama's ancestors were slave owners.
Slavery is wrong. It was done away with about 150 years ago. Blame appears to have changed. Institutional knowledge seems to have been changed also. Black marketing? Common sense?
