Olympia especially is diverting excessive amounts of resources to pet projects like climate response (as if the city can save the planet by itself), endless handouts to the Homeless Industrial Complex, and hiring staff and outside firms for "equity audits" and other nonsense. They see the RFA as the perfect way to unload an expensive part of their budgets so that they can spend more money on their diversions.
