In light of the pandemic, the annual Distinguished Leadership Awards was put on hold for 2021 but LTC is very much pushing through this year, with a complete class participating virtually for the monthly Challenge Days.  When the opportunity came to celebrate community leaders in a different format than the traditional in-person event, the LTC Board of Regents jumped at the chance to spread some joy into our community while celebrating leadership, establishing the Community Leadership Awards.

“Nominations from the community flooded in via online forms in December and January, with many individuals and organizations receiving multiple nominations, a sure sign of the impact being made in Thurston County.” said Cecelia Loveless, LTC Board Member and event committee chair.

A total of 27 organizations and individuals recognized with hand delivered plaques and tokens of appreciation by the LTC Board of Regents between February 25-March 3.  Many thanks to our Presenting Partner, TwinStar Credit Union for helping us make the Community Leadership Awards happen.
