2023 Bon Odori Festival

The Bon Odori Festival, which honors Japanese dances, is back after 3 years! Please visit Fawcett Avenue in Tacoma for dancing or just come to eat and have fun.

4 p.m.: Food, beer garden and other booths open.

4:30 p.m.: Obon service.

5 p.m.: Japanese dancing on the street in front of the temple and taiko entertainment.

8 p.m.: Memorial candle service.

Credit cards and checks are preferred for all purchases.

List of dances: Mikokoro Ondo, Dai Hiroshima Ondo, Manmaru Ondo (1 uchiwa), Isson Ippin Ondo (2 castas), Shiawase Samba, Oyama Ondo, Soran Bushi, Tanko Bushi, Shamisen Electric Slide (1 tenugui), Hokkai Bon Bushi (2 folding fans), Hanabi Ondo (blinky ring), Goshu Ondo.
