2024 Race Dialogue by Asian Pacific Islander Coalition South Puget Sound

Posted
Social change begins with self-examination and requires exchanges, dialogues, and finally civic engagement and actions to cultivate an anti-racist community.

We continue our commitment to the quest of making meaningful social change by inviting the community to come together for skill-building and conversation to better address the racism that exists within our community.

You are invited to participate in this dialogue to examine and discuss race relations and racism and how we can work together to achieve justice in our community. The goal of this year's dialogue is to discuss "Change the dynamics--what's Power got to do with it".  You will hear what actions are being taken and could be taken to dismantle or impact systems of unequal power. We aim to empower everyone with the tools needed to have subsequent, uncomfortable yet constructive conversations in the context of their own unique lived experiences within their communities. This is an opportunity to form collaborations with other like-minded organizations and individuals.

Join this dialogue! This free event is available through Zoom or in person at the Lacey Community Meeting Room, located at 420 College Street SE, Lacey, WA 98503!
