250th Anniversary of the Boston Tea Party - George Washington Speaks

You are cordially invited! He is the state's namesake & this year is the 250th Anniversary of the Boston Tea Party (1773-2023). We are celebrating with General George Washington (aka: Vern Frykholm). The General will tell everyone the story of the Boston Tea Party as they enjoy fruit tea & biscuits (cookies from the colonial days). Fruit tea because people are NOT paying the tax on English tea. He will also share the importance of agriculture on his plantation. Agriculture was important in his day as well as relevant today. Have your photo taken with George! There will be activities from the era: games for children & families plus other activities and items from colonial times, including basket-making & quilting.
