Three area fire departments were called to suppress a blaze at the Mattress Ranch at 7941 Martin Way SE this morning.

The fire originated on the outside of the building at 3 a.m. was noticed by a passerby and had Olympia, East Olympia and Lacey Fire Departments respond, said Chief Steve Brooks, Lacey Fire District 3.

“It was a warehouse from the original Mattress Ranch storefront which had been apparently sold and transitioned over,” Brooks told The JOLT. “It does look suspicious, as it started on the outside of the building. Thurston County Sheriff’s Office was also on scene.”

There were no injuries to report and the fire was largely contained. Brooks said that the response time from 911 call to location was six minutes.
