66th Ave closure in Lacey this week; expect detours

Lacey is informing motorists that 66th Ave SE will be closed from Rainier Road SE to Bailey Street SE from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. starting today until Friday, August 25.

According to the city’s social media post, the street will be undergoing paving, with detour routes available via Rainier Road SE and Ruddell Road SE through Balustrade Boulevard SE. Traffic will also be affected through Capital City Golf Club Estates.

“Please use Yelm Highway SE to enter and exit onto Sarazen Street SE,” Lacey said.

Lacey also warned that there would be intermittent road closures and one-way traffic on Rainier Road SE south of the roundabout and recommended traveling through 70th Way SE.
