Alleged brawl, gun brandishing, vehicle pursuit, collision end in arrest of 2 suspects

Two men were arrested after they allegedly broke into the yard of a local towing company, brawled with an employee, and brandished a gun.

On Saturday night, Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a call about a man with a gun at a local company, the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.

An employee caught two men inside the company’s fenced yard. The employee got into a physical altercation with one of the men while the other one fled, the Sheriff’s office said.

The individual that fled soon returned aboard a pickup truck, then pulled out a black handgun with an extended magazine and pointed it at the employee, according to authorities. The other suspect hopped into the truck and the two fled the scene.

A local agency pursued the vehicle after deputies established probable cause for pursuit. The pursuit reached southbound I-5, where the suspects attempted to strike a deputy head-on with the truck, the TCSO said.

The truck came to a stop after a collision and the two men were taken into custody.

The first suspect was booked for first- and second-degree assault, first-degree robbery, attempting to elude, driving under the influence, “and several other crimes,” authorities said.

The second man was booked for first-degree robbery and a warrant.

ATTENTION JOLT: Could you at least give some bare bones details as to what time/date/location/and to whom, these offenses occurred and where the apprehension took place???

I also found this article lacking in details. I wanted to know the name of the company broken into, approximate time on Saturday, where on I-5 S were they apprehended. Who were these 2 punks? Names would have been a bonus.

I applaud JOLT for not releasing the names of people who have not been convicted of any crime. I think doxxing has changed the way news will report, now and in the future.

That said, there are a lot of other details that could have been included. Or excluded. The article would not suffer much if it were one sentence, “Some bad stuff happened, at night“
