Alleged drug dealer arrested in Olympia

Posted

An alleged local drug dealer was arrested the same day a customer was caught using fentanyl in public, authorities said.

The arrest stems from a patrol by a neighborhood police officer in Olympia on Tuesday, Feb. 17. The police officer apparently contacted the drug user, while the unidentified person was getting high.

"The individual admitted they had just purchased the narcotics minutes earlier from a local dealer," said the Olympia Police Department in a social media post.

"Officers located and arrested the dealer the same day. A search warrant was obtained and executed."

The search turned up about approximately one-half ounce of suspected fentanyl, mulitple containers, drug packaging materials, digital scales, a stolen credit card and six prescription medications not prescribed to the unidentified suspect.

A total of $2,981.39 in cash and coins was also recovered at the location, which was not divulged.

"The suspect admitted to distributing fentanyl multiple times per week and was booked into the Thurston County Jail on felony charges," said the Olympia Police Department in the social media post.

    These people fund the cartels.

Yep....this is one reason it was important to close the border, you have no idea who came in a surge. Cartels do exploit chaos. This isn’t political — it’s documented operational behavior. When thousands cross at once, cartels often use the distraction to move drugs through gaps, smuggle high individuals, run vehicles through lightly staffed areas. Cartel exploitation is a real operational factor, but not the only one.

Not a reason to "close the border." A reason to make a rational immigration system, bring people in on merit, people needed for the jobs that will fund our social security. And regualarize the legal situation for people who've been working and contributing for years.

I bet there's a cartel command center in Jalisco that just had a red light blink because one of their employees got nabbed. "Send another one to Olympia!"

If this is Olympia, what's Tacoma look like?

Going to think twice about a trip to Puerto Vallarta after seeing the image of the burning 737 at an airport.
