The Olympia Host Lions Club Foundation invites everyone to join them for the celebration of the remodeled version of the only low vision resource center in Western Washington.
The Corbin Low Vision Resource Center (LVRC) offers, free of charge, the loan of low vision enhancement aids to anyone who needs them, without time, income or age limits.
The LVRC is operated entirely by volunteer lions throughout our district. We have helped clients from Bellingham to Portland and various places in-between, serving over 100 clients during the COVID pandemic.
The inventory includes closed circuit video magnifiers, hand held magnifiers, task lighting, talking watches and alarm clocks, telephones, computer keyboards and more.
Corbin Low Vision Resource Center also offer tips for phone apps that read aloud, such as the Apple Seeing AI, how to access prescription visual aids, and where to obtain free wireless and/or captioning telephones.
To learn more and see for yourself how the resource center works to improve the quality of life for those with low vision, plan to attend our open house on Saturday, December 11, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Masks are required.
