Annual Yelm jazz festival to feature live music, food and beer garden

The ninth annual Yelm Jazz in the Park returns to the Yelm City Park on Aug. 7 and 8 with live jazz music, family-friendly entertainment, food vendors, and a beer and wine garden.  

The free festival was introduced in the summer of 2017, and every year in August the sounds of live jazz reverberate through the grounds of Yelm City Park.  

“The festival brings community members out of their homes and into the ambiance of Paris to dance in the warm summer air,” states the event's website. 

This year’s lineup will include Take 7, The “Little” Big Band, The Savoy Night Owls and Eden Lane, featuring Stephanie Layton on Friday, Aug. 7.

On Saturday, Aug. 8, the lineup includes Jessica Blinn Quartet, Arnt & His Rythm featuring, Casey MacGill and Pearl Django.  

Attendees may bring family and friends, picnic baskets and blankets to the park, or enjoy the available on-site food and drink options from vendors.
