Trees and forests are part of the fabric and identity of Olympia's community. They help keep its air and water clean, provide shade on hot summer days, and make its parks and greenspaces inviting for both people and wildlife alike. In fact, Olympia has been a Tree City USA for 29 years!
Each year, the City and its partners host a variety of Arbor Day events to celebrate our forests and join the community in planting new trees for future generations.
Join them this year at Squaxin Park (formerly Priest Point Park) at Picnic Shelter #4, on Saturday, October 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for our 2022 Arbor Day celebration! Look forward to the following:
