Art & Craft Supply Swap

Posted by RussianMusician

Join a fun and creative Art & Craft Supply Swap at the library! This is a fantastic opportunity to refresh your craft supplies, share with fellow crafters, and discover new materials for your next project.

Whether you're into scrapbooking, knitting, painting, or any other craft, this event is for you!

Donate: Oct. 28–Nov. 6, during regular library hours. Donations are only accepted at the Lacey Timberland Library.

Donation Guidelines: All donated art and craft supplies must be clean, usable, and organized by type (for example, paper with paper and beads with beads) to make sorting and swapping easier. If you can create with it and it’s in good working condition, others will probably take it! Please do not donate broken, damaged, dried-out, or hazardous materials, or general household and office supplies. Please limit donations to one bag or box per person.

Examples of accepted art and craft supplies include:

DRAWING & PAINTING: pencils, colored pencils, markers, crayons, pastels, paints, brushes, chalk, charcoal, inks, erasers
FIBER ARTS: yarn, thread, embroidery supplies, knitting needles, crochet hooks, ribbon, sewing notions, patterns
PAPER & SCRAPBOOKING: drawing and watercolor paper, construction paper, cardstock, scrapbooking paper and supplies, stickers, stamps, ink pads
CRAFT SUPPLIES: beads, jewelry-making supplies, felt, foam, artificial flowers, pom-poms, pipe cleaners, and other craft materials
TOOLS: scissors, hole punches, rulers, knitting and crochet tools, and other basic crafting tools
BOOKS & KITS: art and craft instruction books, magazines, patterns, and unused or complete craft kits

No fabric needed. There is plenty to share!

Swap: Saturday, Nov. 7, 2–5 p.m.

Drop in anytime during the swap and browse our collection of donated supplies. Take home something that inspires you and give it a second creative life!

You do not need to donate to participate. Everyone is welcome to browse and take supplies, whether or not they contributed anything.

Any remaining supplies after the event will be donated to local organizations in need or used for future library programs.
