BIPOC Ceramics Classes at Arbutus Folk School

This course is designed to provide an artistic and creative space for community members who are Black, Indigenous, and people of color to make connections and explore clay together. Taught by Mariella Luz of m.bueno pottery, this course will focus on the primary skills of wheel throwing, including centering, trimming, surface decoration, and glazing. All materials, tools, and equipment were provided. Ages 18+. This course is offered on a sliding scale basis thanks to the generous support of the City of Olympia and community donors. The class takes place downtown at Arbutus Folk School (610 4th Ave).
