Come and join a tour of heritage on Wednesdays, February 1 and 8, 2023, at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m./noon and 1 p.m.

The 45-minute tours are free, open to the public, and will include information about the Mansion and feature biographical information about notable Black Washingtonians; presented throughout the house by members of the Black community in Thurston County, ending with a short live performance.

The tours are hosted by the Governor’s Mansion Foundation docents. The circa-1908 Mansion is the oldest building on Olympia’s Capitol Campus. Visitors will get guided tours of the Mansion’s permanent collection of antique furnishings and Northwest artwork, including the renowned wall-size murals of Washington scenes in the state dining room.

Exiting tour-goers will receive a special bookmark/flyer with information about additional resources for Black History in Washington. Click here to learn more about the Black Washingtonians featured on the tour and Black History in Washington.

Reservations will be open to the public on January 5, 2023.  For reservations, please visit the Department of Enterprise Services website (search tours) to complete an online Mansion Tour request form.
