Books, Brownies, and Beans has returned! This popular live and in-person used books sale returns. All revenues from one of the South Sound's largest one-day used book sales support three local non-profits: Pizza Klatch, Thurston County Food Bank ForKids: Weekend Backpacks, and Thurston Climate Action Team.
Over the years, the auction has earned more than $80,000 for neighborhood non-profits. The transaction took occurred digitally throughout the epidemic. There were, however, no brownies, coffee, or live entertainment.
The sale is sponsored by the Olympian Unitarian Universalist Congregation (OUUC) and takes up the whole church structure. Thousands of gently worn books, CDs, and DVDs may be found in each section. Customers can browse many rooms brimming with books sorted by theme and special interest.
There is no entrance fee, and visitors are encouraged to bring their own tote bags. OUUC Covid protocols in place.
