Homegrown pizza chain Brewery City Pizza has reopened its doors for dine-in visitors.
All three pizzeria locations in Tumwater, Lacey, and West Olympia have only been open for take-outs and deliveries since September as the buildings underwent interior renovations.
The updated aesthetics give the pizza chain a modern industrial look to revitalize the long-established brand. The pizzeria, after all, has been part of the community since 1982, so business owners Dan and Jonathan Tweten of the Sound Restaurant Family wanted a fresh look to keep the business relevant for years to come.
With its reopening comes new menu items like beer mac and cheese and the signature beer cheese dip.
This focus on beer is intentional, as the business owners want to emphasize their renewed commitment to local beer. The pizzeria now features a collection of local beer from nearby breweries to elevate the dining experience of its patrons.
The owners describe this new era for Brewery City Pizza, “Crust meets craft.”
Aside from beer and pizza, lunch specials like salad, meatball sandwich, and calzone are now daily offerings available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Happy hour has also been extended from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Brewery City Pizza was first established at Tumwater by the late Dennis Gard before Sound Restaurant Family purchased the chain in 2021.

This article lacks the meat & potatoes, so to speak of how adding craft beer & renovations will improve this restaurant. No mention is given to any specific menu changes! Do they have sufficient staff because quality of service as well as improvement in the quality of their pizza’s were frequent complaints . As far as I remember they always offered salads, pasta dishes & sandwiches. What’s different now besides a beer cheese dip or beer Mac n cheese or new flooring? And what renovations were done? . Any new enticing appetizers or main plates, & will the food quality improve ? That’s what brings people in & keeps them coming IMO.
