A public meeting is going to be held in order to brief the community on updates to the Land Use & Urban Design chapter of the Olympia 2045 Comprehensive Plan.
The City of Olympia is hosting the meeting via Zoom from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2.
“The meeting will be online and will start with a presentation on the proposed changes to the chapter. A question-and-answer session and an opportunity to provide comments will follow the presentation,” said the City of Olympia in an announcement about the public meeting.
“For more information about the chapter and how to register for the meeting, visit (here).”
The City of Olympia is required by state law to review and update its Comprehensive Plan every 10 years. The current update extends out to the year 2045.
"The Land Use and Urban Design chapter discusses patterns of development, neighborhoods, historic preservation, the built environment, (downtown), transitioning to a more urban community with vibrancy and destinations within walking distances of most residences, and connections to nature, food production, and transportation networks," the City of Olympia said.
People with questions about the chapter or the meeting can email at dginther@ci.olympia.wa.us or call 360-753-8335.
