Consent Is Queer: Exploring Boundaries, Autonomy & Affirmation Together

Posted by MiaSafePlace

On June 28 from noon to 1 p.m., SafePlace is partnering with Capital City Pride at the Health & Wellness Fair to host a consent workshop in the Olympia Center multi-purpose room!

Consent isn’t just a checkbox—it’s a dynamic, ongoing practice rooted in respect, communication, and care.

In this interactive session, participants will explore how queer experiences and identities offer powerful insights into the meaning of consent.

Together, participants will unpack how boundaries, autonomy, and affirmation show up in relationships, communities, and everyday lives.

Through discussion, reflection, and shared learning, participants wil create a space where all bodies, identities, and voices are honored.

Whether you're new to conversations about consent or looking to deepen your understanding, this session invites you to reimagine consent as a liberatory, queer practice of connection and empowerment.
