Capitol Boulevard SE’s northbound outside lane from the 6800 crosswalks to the intersection of Capitol Boulevard and Dennis Street will be closed from Monday, March 20 to April on weekdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tumwater said in a press release.
Dennis Street will also have reduced traffic lanes at the intersection of the area.
According to the city, a private contractor will be locating existing underground utilities in the area.
The city will have traffic control to direct vehicles through the work zone with a uniformed officer to direct traffic at the intersection of Capitol and Dennis when the signal is placed in flash or completely off.
“Please drive slowly through the work zone, and comply with all instructions from flaggers,” the city added.
