Coroner confirms identities of two recovered bodies

The Thurston County Coroner's Office has officially released on its social media report on the two bodies, positively identifying the victims as Davido and Karen Koep found on December 2.

The coroner's findings point to a tragic homicide, citing multiple gunshot wounds as the cause of death.

Expressing deep sympathy, TCSO has extended its heartfelt condolences to the to the family and friends of Davido and Karen Koep during this difficult time.

TCSO detectives are currently engaged in an ongoing investigation to deliver a comprehensive report to the Prosecutor's Office.

Acknowledging community concerns about urgency and transparency, TCSO said, “We understand the concerns of the community and the need for timely information. However, to protect the investigation’s integrity, we are limited in the details that can be shared.”TCSO is urging anyone with information related to Davido and Karen Koep to come forward and assist in the investigation.
