The Thurston County Auditor’s Election Division is inviting community members to serve as “For” and “Against” committee members for the upcoming August 6 Primary Election.

Both "For" and "Against" sides will discuss the Thurston County Fire Protection District 8's Proposition No. 1, an Excess Levy for Maintenance and Operations.

Committee members should be residents of the district involved in the measure.

These committees will provide written arguments either in favor or against a particular ballot measure, which will be featured in the Local Voters’ Pamphlet.

To be considered, interested individuals must submit their names by 4:30 p.m. on May 10.

Submissions can be made via email or by dropping off forms at the Elections Office at 2400 Evergreen Park Drive SW, Olympia, WA 98502.

Community members seeking further information can reach out to the Elections Division at 360.786.5408 or by checking page 7 of the Administrative Rules for Jurisdictions under the Candidates and Jurisdictions section.
