Domestic violence suspect taken into custody after he was found hiding under a blanket

An alleged domestic violence incident ended when the suspect was found hiding under a blanket in a garage before having to be restrained and hauled off to jail.

Thurston County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) deputies responded to a call about the incident in the Lacey area on Saturday evening, Feb. 14.

After observing marks on the victim and obtaining witness statements, deputies established probable cause for fourth degree domestic violence and then sought to arrest the man,

"The suspect is an (eight) time convicted felon for crimes, such as assault 3, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen car, and burglary. The suspect also had 12 additional misdemeanor convictions for assault, obstructing LE (law enforcement), resisting arrest, theft, and providing false statements," said Sheriff Derek Sanders in a social media post.

"Additionally, the suspect is well known by TCSO deputies as he has been arrested numerous times for violence against women and had an active warrant out for his arrest in Lewis County.
The suspect refused to exit the residence. A search warrant was obtained, and deputies located the suspect hiding in the garage under a blanket."

"While being searched ... the suspect began screaming and refused to get in the car before flopping to the ground. Once on the ground, the suspect continued to scream he was being beaten while no one was moving."

The suspect, who was not identified, was apparently given a number of chances to give himself up in a traditional manner.

When those efforts failed, he was placed in a WRAP restraint. A WRAP restraint is a non-lethal, full-body security device.

The suspect was eventually hauled off to Thurston County Corrections Facility and booked on a domestic violence charge.

All these crimes from this career criminal and he's FREE? My boot. Is it going to take a raped or murdered woman for him to finally be caged for good?

    And we want his name.
