Donations accepted: Joy and Justice Book and Gift Giveaway

The 5^th Annual Joy and Justice Book and Gift Giveaway for kids will be held on December 16-18 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Evergreen Vista Apartments Community Center.

The community is encouraged to share in-kind or cash donations to reach the $4000 event goal. The money will be used to purchase new multicultural books and gifts for children aged 3-17.

Community Organizer Talauna Reed started the philanthropic event five years ago after the death of her aunt who inspired her.

Reed said that some donors in the past years include the Moore Wright Group, YWCA, Evergreen Vista Apartments, Gabis Books and Comics, Psychic Sisters Olympia, and Showing Up for Racial Justice.
