An allegedly intoxicated woman was discovered passed out in her idling car with her foot on the brake in a McDonald’s drive-thru in Lacey on Sunday, June 13, at 2:36 a.m.

Lacey police contacted Divine Mercy Fruean, 24, of Lacey at the McDonalds at 1325 Marvin Rd NE. The officer  shined their flashlight into the vehicle’s window, spotting Fruean with her driver’s seat laid back and her eyes closed.

Another female passenger was also asleep in the passenger front seat.

An officer  knocked on the window, awakening her. According to the police report, Fruean had bloodshot eyes.

Fruean unrolled the rear passenger window down despite being motioned by the LPD officer to roll down the driver’s side window. After a few tries, the driver’s side window was rolled down.

Fruean told LPD that they were tired coming back from JBLM, where they had celebrated her niece’s junior high graduation. Fruean admitted to LPD that she had been drinking, “I want to be honest, I had 2 or 3 shots” of Fireball, she reportedly said.

When attempting to conduct the voluntary field sobriety test, Fruean stumbled as she walked around the front of her vehicle.

On the Draeger, Fruean blew a .157. The legal limit in the State of Washington is 0.08.

Fruean was booked into the Nisqually Jail for Physical Control and her vehicle was left in the McDonald’s parking lot.
