An Olympia woman was arrested last Fri., Oct. 15, after she allegedly threw beer bottles that hit two people when she was asked to leave a social gathering for being “very drunk.”

The suspect, Madeline Price Harris, 26, became “combative” after she was asked to leave an apartment where a small group of people was gathered, one witness told Lacey police.

According to one witness statement, Harris said she was going to grab her belongings by the back door but began throwing beer bottles at the group. Three other witnesses also reported that the suspect threw beer bottles.

One witness told police that she was sleeping on a pullout bed in the living room when she heard “loud” arguing and got hit by a beer bottle in the eye and forehead area.

Another witness told authorities that he was hit in the right elbow by a beer bottle that Harris threw.

Harris yelled and kicked the main door after she was pushed out of the apartment, according to the police report.

Asked about what happened, the suspect told police she was drunk and that “these people just don’t know how to party.” The police report also noted that Harris was “staggering” while walking toward authorities.

Harris said she did not know if she threw beer bottles at anyone. When asked what happened inside the apartment, she responded, “I don’t know, maybe I pushed her” but also said that what took place “didn’t seem like an altercation with anyone.”

The suspect was booked at the Nisqually Jail for fourth-degree assault. Jail records show that she was released on the same day on a cash bond of $500.
